I'm an author, writer, walker, adventurer. One of my latest adventures has me at my desk writing about walking. I've started a site called WalkerFriendly.com It's basically for anyone who walks and is a literary site featuring stories about walking adventures, walking events, how to find trails to walk, who's walking, tips on gear and safety, etc.
- 4th Annual Galloping Goose Walk
The 4th annual Sooke, Metchosin and South Van Isle Lions 32km Galloping Goose Walk
is set for Saturday, May 5, 2007. This year's event is in suport of
Camp Shawnigan for Kids. This event is a great warm-up for the Tahsis Lions Great Walk.

- North Island Kinsmen Coast to Coast Foot Roast
The course runs from Port Hardy (see "where is it?") to Holberg, a distance of 46 kilometers (about 28 miles) on a gravel road. It follows the gravel road that is part of the Island Highway and part of the Western Forest Products logging road.
