The 4th annual Sooke, Metchosin and South Van Isle Lions 32km Galloping Goose Walk
is set for Saturday, May 5, 2007. This year's event is in suport of
Camp Shawnigan for Kids. This event is a great warm-up for the Tahsis Lions Great Walk.

The course runs from Port Hardy (see "where is it?") to Holberg, a distance of 46 kilometers (about 28 miles) on a gravel road. It follows the gravel road that is part of the Island Highway and part of the Western Forest Products logging road.- Great Lake Walk
