Once again this year special trophies were presented to the 3 GREAT WALKERS who had travelled the furthest to participate in the GREAT WALK: Isabelle Fastre and Rene Vanden Borre from Belgium and Rie Nakia from Japan. As this was the 20th anniversary of the GREAT WALK, we were particularly pleased to welcome former Tahsis residents Bill and Audrey Lore to the finish line. Bill was mayor of Tahsis in 1978 when he founded the GREAT WALK. Bill and Audrey were each presented with honourary GREAT WALK certificates and plaques to mark the occasion.
