According to the information turned in to us so far, this year's GREAT WALKERS have solicited pledges on behalf of more than a hundred different charities and other worthwhile causes. These pledges total more than $173,742 ! The biggest winner of the day was the AFRICA COMMUNITY TECHNICAL SERVICE with pledges totaling $ 53,719, which will, in turn be matched 2 to 1 by the federal government for a total donation over $156,000 to this worthwhile African Water Project.
